On March 3, 2021, the City of New York contacted Sweet Group for assistance with their COVID-19 efforts. The city faced an urgent need to expand and maximize vaccine distribution and administration.  We were officially contracted by the Department of Emergency Management (“NYCEM”) to manage, administer, and operate various flexible COVID-19 vaccination sites that could be set up in any community throughout any NYC borough.

 

Sweet Group resources immediately began mobilizing and deploying to the City of New York, with sites opening within the first week of an executed agreement.  We provided Program Management support, 24/7 property management oversight, logistics support, supply/procurement support, security services, janitorial services, construction management services, language interpreter services, and health services to administer vaccines. Our team opened approximately four (4) sites per week over an eight (8) week period.

 

To date, Sweet Group has solidified license agreements with thirty-one (31) brick-and-mortar locations and two (2) mobile providers. Our staff are currently administering over 34,000 shots per week and overseeing operations for various sites administering over 100,000 shots per week. To date, our team has administered over one million shots with a lifetime contract expectancy of two million.
