Client: NYC Office of Housing Recovery/NYC Department of Environmental Protection 

After Hurricane Sandy in 2012, Sweet Group stepped in with numerous other contractors to help New Yorkers impacted by the storm restore essential services to their homes, allowing them to shelter in place while completing more permanent repairs. Working directly with the Mayor’s Housing Recovery Office and the NYC Department of Environmental Protection under the NYC Rapid Repairs program, Sweet Group restored heat, power and hot water to approximately 700 Brooklyn residents.  NYC Rapid Repairs was followed by the NYC Build it Back Program, where Sweet Group worked to complete the permanent repairs, rebuild and elevations of impacted homes.
